Bret Michaels
Singer Bret Michaels, the lead vocalist of the band Poison, was only six years old when he was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. After years of living with the disease, he is currently an advocate for the American Diabetes Association and has opened up about the challenges that come with the disease. In 2010, he joined The Celebrity Apprentice and used his investment planning skills to become the winner of the reality show. He pledged his entire $250,000 award money to the said organization. Despite his life-threatening illness, Michaels won against his co-finalist Holly Robinson Peete. He later returned to complete for All-Star Celebrity Apprentice.
