Billy Dee Williams is an actor well known for his performance as Lando Calrissian in George Lucas’ Star Wars movies in The Empire Strikes Back, The Return of the Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker. His career started way back in 1945 as a stage actor for The Firebrand of Florence. He later gained more recognition with his role as Chicago Bear’s Gayles Sayers in the 1971 TV film Brian’s Song. The following year, he got to act alongside Diana Ross in Lady Sings the Blues, a biopic about Billie Holiday.

And just like the character, Williams took half the credit for his role as Harvey Dent in Tim Burton’s The Batman, which was later performed by Tommy Lee Jones in its sequel. Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, Billy Dee Williams continued to appear in television and movies. In 2014, he changed his career by taking part in the 18th season of Dancing with the Stars.
