MARK HARMON – RETIRING

After 18 years of reigning the small screen with the crime-solving series NCIS, Mark Harmon will allegedly bid farewell to the series and retire. He had expressed his plans of retirement back in 2020 but resumed filming NCIS season 18. Though nothing is clear yet, we are sure that NCIS and its spinoffs will remain.

Before making his way to Hollywood, Mark Harmon played football back in college. He played quarterback for UCLA, where he received his degree in communication. His father is a former football player, and his mother is an actress – Tom Harmon and Elyse Knox. He inherited his father’s athletic skills and his mother’s good looks and keen talent in acting. After graduating from college, he pursued an acting career. Mark started his career acting in TV series. Since then, he became a staple on the small screen. He is most famous for his role as SSA Leroy Jethro Gibbs, who originated at the legal drama JAG. Through the said series spun NCIS where SSA Leroy is the lead character. From 2003 to the present, NCIS has been on the run and produced several spinoffs.
