LEA THOMPSON – DIRECTING

Fans of the Back to the Future trilogy in the 80s will surely be familiar with actress Lea Thompson who played Lorraine Baines’ character. The actress then bagged a title character in Caroline in the City, an NBC sitcom showed in the 90s after her iconic role. After a few movies, Thompson married her husband and film director Howard Deutch. They both welcomed two daughters named Madelyn and Zoey, both are also into acting now.

Thompson revealed that she no longer got lead roles after giving birth, leaving her with only the secondary parts. That also resulted in Thompson’s decline in movie projects. While Thompson may have lost lead roles after embracing motherhood, she is still working in the industry behind the camera. Thompson is currently doing work for the sitcom The Goldbergs as a director. Adam F. Goldberg, who has been a fan of Thompson since the 80s, reportedly convinced the actress to venture into directing as he believes the star can take the credit for good directing because of her excellent acting chops.
