BARBARA WALTERS – RETIRE BROADCAST JOURNALIST

Barbara Jill Walters is one of the most influential women broadcast journalists from then till now. She started her career in the 70s as a writer until she got a big break and was assigned to be a Today’s co-host. From then on, Barbara was able to etch her name as a reputable journalist with a trademark probing interview style that is distinctly hers. She then proceeded to have her show The View, to where she also became a producer.

Walters officially retired from being an anchor in 2014. With Walters’ long list of achievements in the field, we cannot deny that she is known by many, including her achievement as an interviewer for various world leaders. Walters is now 91-years-old who has gone past several health complications. She has survived a chronic health scare and a risky surgery. Good thing she has accumulated wealth during the peak of her career that allowed her to allot enough money for medical insurance and retirement funds for herself.
