MOLLY RINGWALD – MUSICIAN/WRITER

Molly Ringwald became known as one of the greatest stars during her teenage years. She was first known as Molly Parker in NBC’s sitcom The Facts of Life from 1979 to 1980, followed by a supporting role as Miranda in the 1982 film Tempest, which won her a Golden Globe. Her collaboration with filmmaker John Hughes led to her appearing on several coming-of-age movies such as Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, and the cult classic The Breakfast Club.

Hughes’s investments in her paid off, as she later earned the love and admiration of many young fans. Due to this, she became a teen idol and was dubbed a member of the ‘Brat Pack,’ a group of young actors frequently appearing in coming-of-age films. Currently, she plays Mary Andrews in the CW series Riverdale. Apart from being an actress, she is also a wife and a mother. She was first married to French writer Valéry Lameignère from 1999 to 2002. She then married writer Panio Gianopoulos in 2007. Together, they have three children: Mathilda, born in 2003, and twins Adele and Roman, born in 2009.
