GOLDIE HAWN – PHILANTHROPY

Actress Goldie Hawn began her mile-long successful acting career on television. She rose to international prominence when she starred as the dumb-blonde character in the comedic sketch show Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In. She further cemented her status as a promising actress when she bagged both an Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for her role as Toni Simmons in the 1969 film Cactus Flower. Among her acting credits list are 1972’s Butterflies Are Free, 1980s Seems Like Old Times, 1992’s Death Becomes Her, and 1996’s The First Wives Club.

Goldie has been married twice, first to Gus Trikonis from 1969 to 1976, followed by her marriage to The Hudson Brother’s Bill Hudson from 1976 to 1982. Her marriage to Hudson blessed the couple with two children. Their son Oliver and daughter Kate followed their parents’ footsteps and made several acting achievements for themselves. Outside of the entertainment industry, Goldie busies herself with philanthropic works for her Goldie Hawn Foundation, a foundation that provides educational programs for the youth.
