PHYLICIA RASHAD – AUDIO PLAY PROJECTS
Another The Cosby Show alumna, Phylicia Rashad, played the role of Claire Huxtable for the iconic television show, which earned her 2 Emmy Award nominations. For her role in the revival of A Raisin in the Sun, she won a Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play and she is the first African-American actress to earn it. After her successful run in the said show, she lent her voice to Brenda, a character in the animated television show, Little Bill.
She also appeared in Everybody Hates Chris and Steel Magnolias. Rashad gained an honorary doctorate degree in Fine Arts last 2009, among her other many achievements. Nowadays, Phylicia continues to be active in the business, taking on more personal projects like Pulling the Lever, a series of audio plays about Black women, and the battle for the right to vote.
