ROBERT REDFORD – RETIRED ACTOR

Robert Redford had been on the screen since 1958, and his biggest film to note would be Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid in 1969. The said movie marks the beginning of his successful career, therefore, naming most of his investments after it. He has countless movies, but one of the most memorable to him is Jeremiah Johnson in 1972.

Recently, Robert made headlines following the passing of his son, James Redford, in 2020. Before that, Robert sent the media into a frenzy when he announced his retirement after releasing his last film, The Old Man and The Gun, in 2018. He said that though his health is in top shape, he intends to focus on directing and supervise the Sundance Institute – a non-profit organization the aids new filmmakers to plunge into the business. It is founded in 1981 by Robert Redford himself and holds the film festival at his ski resort in Utah called Sundance Resort.
