JEAN-CLAUDE VAN DAMME – DIRECTOR

Jean-Claude Van Damme is a  retired martial artist, Belgian actor, fight choreographer, and filmmaker. He is famous for his martial arts action films, and some of his remarkable projects are Cyborg, Bloodsport, Lionheart, Double Impact, Kickboxer, Sudden Death, Jean-Claude Van Johnson series, The Quest, and Nowhere to Run. It’s also worth mentioning that he has an upcoming action project, Frenchy, which he will direct himself. Although, do not be mistaken, as this is not the actor’s first time working behind the camera! Jean-Claude’s directional debut was the film The Quest, a martial arts movie.

Unknown to some, the renowned actor began martial arts at the age of ten. His father enrolled him in a karate school, and he earned a black belt degree when he was 18. To improve his physical appearance, Jean-Claude started lifting weights and gained the Mr. Belgium bodybuilding title. You will be surprised to know that he studied ballet for five years and considers it one of the most challenging sports to survive. With his extensive talent and flair, it’s no wonder that JCVD is still in demand up until this date.
