SEAN CASSIDY – TED CASSIDY’S SON

During his tenure in the film industry, Ted Cassidy worked on several programs. Cassidy began his acting career on television shows while playing the iconic Lurch in the TV series, The Addams Family. Although the show only lasted two years, it has gained cult status and continued to flourish in reruns.

Cassidy returned to the role many times after that while doing a cameo in a Batman episode and voice-over work for an Addams Family cartoon series in the 1970s. He played larger-than-life figures due to his broad, tall stature. Ted’s deep bass tone was used for narration and dubbing various characters such as Frankenstein. His career spanned for three decades until he met his demise in 1979. He got married to Margaret Helen Jesse on June 14, 1956. They share two kids, Sean and Cameron Cassidy. Both of his children chose a different path and grew up to become lawyers.
