CELINE DION – THÉRÈSE DION’S DAUGHTER

Before her passing in 2020, Thérèse Tanguay-Dion was a famous TV personality in Canada among its French-speaking citizens and across North America. Known as “Mama Dion” among her friends and coworkers for being the mother of world-acclaimed singer, Celine Dion, she made her way to showbiz by playing the violin accompanied by her husband, Adhemar, who played the accordion in their musically-inclined family. She and her husband became instrumental, to some degree, in propelling their youngest child, Celine Dion, into stardom.

Celine was supported by family, and together, they helped her create her very first single, It Was Only a Dream, which is the first of the many songs that made her famous in the ‘90s up until now. Her husband, René Angélil, was her first manager as a teenage artist. Eventually, they started a relationship which ultimately became her strength in achieving international awards and fandom. Indeed, a family that sings together, gets famous together.
