JAMES REDFORD – ROBERT REDFORD’S SON

James Redford is an American environmentalist and documentary filmmaker. He was born in New York and is the son of actor and director Robert Redford. James went to the University of Colorado Boulder, where he received his undergraduate degree in filmmaking and creative writing. He then went to Northwestern University and took a master’s in English literature.

The young director began his career as a screenwriter in the drama, Cowboy Up and since then accepted many film jobs. Likewise, he worked in the movie, Spin, and Skinwalkers. James directed his first documentary, The Big Picture; Rethinking Dyslexia, based on his real-life struggles. Other films he has worked on are Watershed, Toxic Hot Seat, Resilience, Paper Tigers, and Happening: A Clean Energy Revolution. On the plus side, James did take his father’s skills and talents. Apart from the looks, he is happy to support his family in the chosen career.
